The TMUA lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes and consists of two 75-minute papers, each containing 20 multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 focuses on Applications of Mathematical Knowledge, while Paper 2 focuses on Mathematical Reasoning. Calculators are not permitted.
When is the TMUA in 2026?
For students applying to Oxford and Cambridge for 2027 entry, the relevant TMUA sitting takes place in October 2026. Applicants should check the official UAT-UK and university admissions information for current registration, booking and test dates.
